Snowflake

About this beer

A bright, refreshing and hop-forward Winter Pale Ale from Yorkshire's Black Sheep Brewery, brewed in Masham using fresh Dales water and designed to bring a welcome burst of citrus character to the colder months. Snowflake combines a pale malt base with the expressive American hop varieties Willamette and Cascade, creating a vibrant seasonal beer that balances refreshing fruit flavours with delicate floral and spicy complexity. Pouring a light straw colour, the beer opens with a powerful citrus aroma, followed by subtle notes of flowers, pepper and gentle spice. On the palate, lively citrus fruit takes centre stage, supported by a clean malt foundation and a satisfying hoppy character. Malted barley and torrefied wheat contribute to the beer's balanced structure, allowing the bright hop flavours to shine without overwhelming its approachable strength. At just 3.7% ABV, Snowflake delivers an impressively flavourful yet easy-drinking experience, making it particularly well suited to relaxed winter evenings and comforting seasonal food. Brewed as a refreshing alternative to richer winter ales, this distinctive pale ale showcases Black Sheep Brewery's traditional Yorkshire brewing heritage alongside the vibrant character of American hops.
