About this beer

A bold and intensely aromatic Vermont-inspired Triple IPA from Suffolk's Burnt Mill Brewery, created as a powerful follow-up to brewer Angelo's passion project, Golden Vistas. Originally developed two years earlier as an expression of the Vermont IPA style, Golden Vistas provided the inspiration for this bigger, more ambitious 10% ABV release. Platinum Vistas retains the original beer's malt and hop foundations while experimenting with revised addition rates and brewing techniques to create greater depth and intensity. A light, soft malt bill featuring extra pale malt, flaked oats and dextrin provides a smooth, rounded foundation for the substantial hop character. Motueka is introduced during the whirlpool, while an Eclipse hop dip contributes vibrant lime and mandarin notes. Further additions of Eclipse, Citra and Strata during dry-hopping build layers of juicy orange, ripe tropical fruit and distinctive dank hop character. The combination delivers an expressive balance of citrus brightness, tropical richness and resinous complexity, supported by a soft body that complements the beer's substantial strength. At 10% ABV, Platinum Vistas showcases Burnt Mill's experimental approach to modern hop-forward brewing, transforming a much-loved Vermont-inspired IPA into a rich and flavour-packed Triple IPA.
