Very Small Moose

About this beer

A rich and indulgent Alcohol-Free Chocolate and Vanilla Stout from Fierce Beer, returning in 2026 as part of the Scottish brewery's tenth anniversary celebrations. Very Small Moose is the occasional alcohol-free counterpart to Fierce's celebrated Very Big Moose Imperial Stout, bringing the familiar dark, dessert-inspired character of its stronger sibling into a much lighter 0.5% ABV beer. Brewed to deliver substantial flavour without the strength of a traditional Imperial Stout, this special anniversary rebrew offers an inviting aroma of freshly roasted coffee, dark chocolate and gently toasted malt. On the palate, pronounced cacao flavours combine with rich dark malt and smooth vanilla, creating a layered and satisfying stout with a distinctly indulgent character. The interplay between roasted coffee notes, chocolate richness and softer vanilla sweetness captures the spirit of the original Very Big Moose while offering a more approachable drinking experience. Containing lactose, Very Small Moose has a smooth, dessert-like character that complements its bold dark flavours. At just 0.5% ABV, this 2026 release demonstrates how much flavour can be packed into a low-alcohol beer, making it an appealing choice for stout enthusiasts seeking the familiar comforts of chocolate, coffee and vanilla without the intensity of a full-strength Imperial Stout.
