Black Sail

About this beer

A rich and full-bodied traditional Stout from Cumbria's Hesket Newmarket Brewery, named after one of the Lake District's remote mountain passes. Black Sail is brewed with a carefully selected blend of dark malts, including generous quantities of chocolate malt, creating complex flavours of roasted coffee, liquorice and cocoa. Malted oats contribute a smooth, rounded mouthfeel, softening the sharper edges of the roasted grains while enhancing the beer's satisfying texture. A straightforward combination of English hop varieties provides a balanced bitterness that complements the deep malt character. At 4% ABV, this classic stout delivers impressive richness and complexity while remaining approachable and highly drinkable.
