Bromley Fresh Hop

About this beer

A vibrant and distinctly local Fresh Hop IPA from Southey Brewing Co in Penge, South East London, showcasing Cascade hops grown in a single garden in neighbouring Bromley. Bromley Fresh Hop celebrates the annual hop harvest and the contribution of Mr Lawrence, co-owner of Southey Brewing Co, who cultivated the hops used in this special seasonal release. Brewed exclusively with locally grown Cascade, the beer offers an expressive interpretation of single-hop brewing, allowing the character of this celebrated variety to take centre stage. At 4.5% ABV, it delivers a bigger, brighter and bolder hop profile than the brewery's fresh hop pale ales, with vibrant grapefruit and citrus flavours defining the drinking experience. The freshly harvested hops bring a direct connection to their growing environment, highlighting the distinctive appeal of beers produced around the seasonal harvest. Refreshing and hop-forward, Bromley Fresh Hop combines the familiar citrus character of Cascade with the individuality of a genuinely local ingredient. Presented in a 440ml can, this limited seasonal IPA celebrates independent brewing, local hop growing and the simple pleasure of transforming a garden harvest into a distinctive craft beer.
