Sheep in Wolf's Clothing Brewery

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing was founded by Matty Dixon in a London garage in July 2021. The idea grew from a simple question about why genuinely good alcohol-free beer was so difficult to find, developing into a brewery focused on producing flavourful beer across alcohol-free, session and full-strength options.

Originally from Banchory in Aberdeenshire, Matty worked in oil and gas before completing an MBA and retraining as a brewer. After moving back to Scotland with his wife, the brewery eventually found its permanent home at Duckburn Industrial Estate in Dunblane in October 2024, where its brewery and taproom now operate together.

SiWC describes inclusivity, community and sustainability as its three founding values. Alongside making every beer vegan, the brewery aims to create employment opportunities for people who can be overlooked by the conventional labour market, particularly those who are physically or neurologically diverse, while supporting community and mental-health initiatives.

Sustainability also shapes production in Dunblane, with renewable energy supplying the brewery and taproom and heat recovered during brewing for reuse. Most of SiWC's own beers sit between 3% and 4.5% ABV, alongside alcohol-free options, reflecting its original aim of creating full-flavoured beer experiences at more approachable strengths.
