Methuselah – Madeira Finish

A luxurious barrel-aged Imperial Dark Ale from Abbeydale Brewery, released to celebrate the brewery's 30th anniversary. Part of Abbeydale's special barrel ageing programme, Methuselah – Madeira Finish begins with a robust, malt-forward strong dark ale before developing additional complexity through maturation in a fresh Madeira cask. The result is a decadently aromatic beer featuring rich dried fruit sweetness, indulgent brown sugar flavours and the smooth warmth of fortified wine barrel ageing. At 8% ABV, this anniversary release combines a substantial malt backbone with deep, warming barrel character for a rich and satisfying drinking experience.
