Fortress!

About this beer

A vibrant and refreshing India Pale Ale from North East England's Anarchy Brew Co., created in collaboration with Reaper Agency to celebrate the FORTRESS Festival held at Scarborough Spa. Fortress! brings together the energy of the independent music scene and contemporary craft brewing in a distinctive, fruit-forward IPA. Pouring a deep golden colour, the beer opens with inviting aromas of ripe peach, juicy pineapple and fresh gooseberry, creating an expressive combination of tropical fruit and bright orchard-like character. On the palate, subtle lemongrass and citrus flavours introduce a refreshing zestiness, complemented by a delicate herbal quality that adds depth and complexity. A soft mouthfeel rounds out the beer's fruit-forward profile, helping to balance its lively citrus notes and gentle herbal finish. At 4.6% ABV, Fortress! delivers an approachable yet flavourful drinking experience, combining aromatic intensity with a refreshing, easy-drinking character. Brewed in partnership with Reaper Agency, this festival-inspired IPA celebrates the shared creativity of independent brewing and live music, offering a distinctive beer that captures the spirit of FORTRESS Festival and its Scarborough home.
