A distinctive copper-coloured ale from Wiltshire's Arkell's Brewery, originally created in 2003 to celebrate the 80th birthday of Peter Arkell OBE, father of the brewery's current chairman James Arkell. Moonlight commemorates Peter's wartime service flying low-level missions over occupied France in 1943, using moonlight to land his Lysander aircraft and collect agents. The aircraft he flew is featured on the beer's bottle label, preserving this remarkable family history. At 4.1% ABV, Moonlight delivers distinctive lemon and dark fruit flavours, combining an engaging drinking experience with a meaningful connection to Arkell's heritage. Originally a special release, it has since returned as a regular house beer.
