An inventive and hop-forward Pale Ale from Yorkshire's Brew York, created as the fourth release in the brewery's Survivor Series collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops. The Thundertaker showcases the innovative Cryo Pop hop blend alongside Talus hops, combining expressive modern hop character with an unusual and carefully constructed malt foundation. Cryo Pop has been developed to deliver a concentrated expression of aromatic hop compounds, while Talus contributes additional complexity to the beer's hop profile. The malt bill includes small-batch toasted oats and a touch of Carafa III, introducing subtle roasted depth and a distinctive popcorn-like character beneath the expressive hops. Pouring an inviting orange colour, the beer offers an unusual combination of aromatic intensity, gentle toasted notes and rounded malt character. At 5.5% ABV, The Thundertaker provides a satisfying and creative interpretation of a contemporary pale ale.
