A complex, barrel-aged fruited sour beer from Suffolk's Burnt Mill Brewery, showcasing Morello cherries grown by Silkwood Orchard in Kent. Silk Wood is a blend of mixed-fermentation beers aged in Médoc and Sangiovese wine barrels, creating a layered foundation of oak character and acidity. Intense aromas of ripe cherries and old oak lead into vibrant tart fruit flavours, with an upfront drying acidity developing into rich, jammy cherry tart notes. At 6% ABV, this distinctive sour combines traditional mixed fermentation, wine barrel maturation and locally grown fruit to deliver a beautifully expressive drinking experience.
