Old Carrock

About this beer

A rich and deeply flavoured Strong Ruby Ale from Cumbria's Hesket Newmarket Brewery, recognised with a gold medal for its distinctive character. Old Carrock is brewed with a carefully balanced combination of dark, crystal and pale malts, producing a deep ruby colour and a substantial, smooth malt foundation. Moderate bitterness introduced during the boil provides structure, while gentle aromatic hop additions complement the beer's complex, malt-forward character. At 6% ABV, this robust traditional ale offers a satisfying depth of flavour and a warming richness, making it a distinctive example of a stronger British ruby ale.
