A distinctive Premium Rustic Lager from Edinburgh's Newbarns Brewery, combining traditional German lager fermentation with a creative, characterful malt bill. Super Gold is brewed using extra pale malt alongside generous proportions of oats, wheat, flaked barley and other adjunct grains, creating a rustic interpretation of the classic Pilsner style. Fermented with a German lager yeast strain, the beer showcases a pronounced hop character from British-grown Admiral and Challenger hops, sourced from Brook House Hops in Herefordshire. At 4.8% ABV, this core-range lager brings together expressive British hops, an unconventional grain bill and traditional lager brewing techniques in a flavourful and approachable beer.
