Basecamp

About this beer

A crisp and refreshing 4% Mountain IPA from Leeds-based Northern Monk, brewed in collaboration with Bowness Bay Brewing and Kendal Mountain Festival. Basecamp is a Northern Monk Foundation release celebrating the connection between craft beer, outdoor adventure and the landscapes of the Lake District. Created in partnership with a brewery based in the region and one of the UK's best-known mountain festivals, the beer brings together a shared appreciation for exploration, creativity and the outdoors. Designed as a crisp, hoppy IPA, Basecamp focuses on refreshing drinkability while retaining the distinctive hop character expected from a modern craft beer. Its approachable 4% ABV makes it a natural companion to relaxed gatherings after a day spent exploring the hills, celebrating the spirit of the mountain festival without the intensity of a stronger IPA. The collaboration reflects Northern Monk's longstanding interest in northern landscapes and outdoor culture, bringing together its brewing expertise with Bowness Bay Brewing's Lake District connections. Available in 440ml cans, Basecamp is a straightforward, flavourful IPA that combines a refreshing character with a celebration of the people, places and experiences associated with mountain adventure.
