Milestone 13

About this beer

A bold and intensely hop-forward Double IPA from Leeds-based Northern Monk, brewed to celebrate the brewery's thirteenth birthday. Milestone 13 is an 8% ABV anniversary release that reflects Northern Monk's journey through thirteen years of brewing, combining inspiration from some of its favourite beers with the hop flavours and techniques currently exciting the team. While the number thirteen is traditionally associated with bad luck, Northern Monk embraces the milestone as an opportunity to celebrate its achievements and look towards the future. This super-hazy, double dry-hopped IPA places El Dorado firmly in the spotlight, allowing a hop variety that has previously played a supporting role in many of the brewery's most successful IPAs to take centre stage. Expect expressive flavours of pithy marmalade and bright citrus, delivering a rich and distinctive hop character. The generous dry hopping reinforces the beer's aromatic intensity, creating the bold, saturated flavour profile associated with Northern Monk's contemporary IPAs. At 8% ABV, Milestone 13 is a substantial celebratory beer, bringing together the brewery's enthusiasm for expressive hops, hazy IPAs and experimentation. A fitting birthday release that celebrates Northern Monk's brewing heritage while continuing to explore the possibilities of modern hop-forward beer.
