A vibrant and fruit-forward Pale Ale from Welsh brewery Polly's Brew Co, created through a playful exploration of hop combinations and brewing techniques. Melt Energy is a 5% ABV release showcasing Idaho 7 and Citra, two expressive American hop varieties brought together to create a balanced yet intensely aromatic beer. The brewery deliberately experimented with its hopping schedule, using a larger-than-usual addition of Citra on the hot side while reducing the quantity of hops added during the cold side of the brewing process. Further additions of Idaho 7 and Citra in its concentrated Lupomax form complete the hop profile, producing a beer packed with expressive fruit flavours. Expect generous notes of apricot, mango, pineapple and other ripe stone fruits, complemented by a subtle touch of pithy citrus bitterness that helps balance the sweeter fruit character.
