A traditional Scottish Heavy, also known as a 70 Shilling ale, from Simple Things Fermentations. This malt-focused 3.8% session beer combines Maris Otter with chocolate and aromatic malts to create rich layers of dark sponge cake, brown sugar and dried fruit. East Kent Goldings hops and a touch of ground coriander introduce delicate earthy and floral notes, balanced by moderate bitterness. Light and soft on the palate yet full of depth and complexity, Scottish Heavy delivers a clean fermentation character and a long, satisfying finish. Naturally carbonated and vegan-friendly.
