Melissa

About this beer

A golden 6% Honey Blonde Ale from Stroud Brewery, brewed in collaboration with the Stroud Beekeepers Association to celebrate organic farming, biodiversity and the importance of pollinators. Named after Melissa, the mythical beekeeper who fed honey to the infant Zeus, this limited-edition beer combines locally sourced honey with organic barley, wheat and hops. Delicate wildflower aromas and natural honey character are balanced by notes of biscuit and toasted grain, with a gentle influence from traditional Belgian blonde ales. Smooth, aromatic and subtly sweet, Melissa showcases the relationship between local beekeeping and brewing while highlighting the distinctive flavours of its carefully selected ingredients.
