A decadent and intensely aromatic New England IPA created as a collaboration between Cornwall's Verdant Brewing Co. and Slovakian brewery Firstep, marking the tenth release in Verdant's ongoing Travellers Series. Inspired by the collaborative spirit of modern craft brewing, High Tatras brings together five expressive hop varieties — Citra, Eclipse, Nectaron, Simcoe and El Dorado — to create a vibrant, fruit-forward drinking experience. A carefully timed El Dorado hop dip introduces distinctive sweet shop fruit flavours, providing a playful foundation for the beer's more prominent hop additions. Citra, Eclipse, Nectaron and Simcoe build upon this sweetness with layers of juicy citrus, tropical fruit and aromatic complexity, creating a rich and expressive hop profile. The substantial malt bill combines Extra Pale and Golden Promise malts with wheat malt, oats, flaked wheat and chit malt, supporting the soft, rounded texture associated with contemporary hazy IPAs. Fermented using Verdant's house yeast, the beer delivers a smooth and satisfying mouthfeel that complements its generous hop character. At 6.5% ABV, High Tatras offers a flavour-packed yet remarkably drinkable interpretation of the New England IPA style, celebrating the shared brewing creativity of Verdant and Firstep.
