Attic Brew Co. is an independent brewery based in Stirchley, Birmingham, producing modern hop-forward beers inspired by creativity, community and the city's independent spirit. From hazy IPAs and crisp lagers to stouts, sours and seasonal releases, Attic has grown into the largest independent brewery in the West Midlands while remaining proudly owner-operated and rooted in Birmingham.
Brewery story
Attic Brew Co. was founded by university friends Oli and Sam, who swapped corporate careers for brewing after discovering a shared passion for great beer and independent pubs. Their first beers were brewed in a homemade brewery built in an attic in Kings Heath, giving the brewery both its name and its identity.
Early demand quickly outgrew the attic brewery, leading the founders to establish a permanent home in Stirchley, South Birmingham. Built with the support of friends and family and funded through continual reinvestment, Attic steadily expanded from a small local brewery into the largest independent brewery in the West Midlands.
Today Attic Brew Co. produces a diverse range of modern craft beers while remaining independently owned and closely connected to its local community. Alongside its brewery, taproom and Barrel Store, Attic champions Birmingham's creative culture through events, collaborations and a commitment to representing the city on the national craft beer stage.

Located alongside the brewery in Stirchley, Attic Taproom is a relaxed, family-friendly taproom serving a constantly rotating selection of Attic beers alongside cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks. Fresh pizzas are available from Deathrow Pizza, while a regular programme of live music, comedy, markets and community events makes it a popular destination for Birmingham's craft beer scene.
