Bewdley Brewery

Bewdley Brewery was established in 2008 by a small group of beer enthusiasts who wanted to bring brewing back to the Worcestershire town. The brewery initially operated from an old school building using a six-barrel brewing plant, combining experience from within the drinks industry with a shared enthusiasm for producing good-quality beer.

The brewery developed a particularly strong connection with its surroundings, including the nearby Severn Valley Railway. That relationship is reflected in a number of railway-themed beers, giving the range a distinctly local identity and linking the brewery with one of the area's best-known attractions.

As production increased, Bewdley invested in a larger 10-barrel brewing plant in 2014. The current system produces around 2,880 pints from each brew and gives the brewery capacity to brew up to four times a week, equivalent to more than half a million pints over the course of a year.

Despite the increase in capacity, Bewdley continues to present itself as a small brewery built around a group of people passionate about beer. Its approach combines practical brewing experience with a strong connection to the town, developing beers that reflect both traditional brewing and the character of the surrounding area.

Visitors can call at the brewery at Bewdley Craft Centre, where the brewery encourages people to have a look around and purchase bottles to take away.
