Brewery story
Frank+Otis Brewing Co. was founded by friends Steve and Rob after a life-changing event inspired them to stop talking about brewing a beer together and simply make it happen. Following the sudden loss of Steve's brother Ben in 2018, the pair set out to build a brewery that celebrated friendship, togetherness and making lasting memories.
The brewery's philosophy is inspired by Ben, who loved bringing people together for barbecues, pizza nights and good conversation, always with a quality beer in hand. That spirit continues today, with Frank+Otis focusing on approachable, flavour-packed craft beers designed to be enjoyed socially and responsibly.
The brewery takes its name from the founders' dogs, Frank and Otis, whose loyal, fun-loving personalities perfectly capture the brewery's values. Frank, a mischievous Jackapoo, brought positivity to Steve's family following Ben's passing, while Otis, Rob's Labrador, became his companion after starting a new business.
Now brewing from Cardiff and expanding into a new home on Newport Road, Frank+Otis continues to produce hop-forward beers that encourage people to slow down, spend time together and create new memories over a great pint.
