A distinctive 6% Strong Ale from Godalming Beerworks, brewed with Target and East Kent Goldings hops. Originally named Gallows and created as a Halloween seasonal special, Scary Mary takes its name from Mary Toft, a Godalming woman whose extraordinary rabbit-birth hoax caused a national sensation in the eighteenth century. First brewed to celebrate the legendary Halloween parties at The Star, this characterful strong ale combines traditional English brewing ingredients with one of the town's most unusual historical stories.
