Gingerbread Stout

About this beer

A rich and full-bodied Gingerbread Stout from The Runaway Brewery, bringing the warming flavours of traditional seasonal baking into a distinctive 6.2% ABV dark beer. Brewed with root ginger, mace, cloves and cinnamon, this sweet stout combines a substantial roasted malt foundation with a carefully selected blend of aromatic spices. The ginger introduces a warming character, while cinnamon contributes familiar sweet spice notes associated with freshly baked gingerbread. Cloves and mace provide additional aromatic complexity, creating a layered flavour profile that complements the beer's rich, full-bodied nature. Rather than allowing the spices to dominate, The Runaway Brewery describes the combination as a subtle seasonal twist, maintaining the underlying character of a satisfying stout. Its rounded sweetness and warming spice profile make Gingerbread Stout particularly appealing during the colder months, offering a comforting alternative to more conventional dark beers. At 6.2% ABV, the beer delivers a substantial drinking experience while retaining the distinctive balance between malt richness and gentle spice. Presented in a 330ml bottle, this vegan-friendly release celebrates the familiar flavours of gingerbread in a rich, characterful and seasonally inspired craft stout.
