Runaway Brewery was established in 2014 as an independent small-batch brewery with an emphasis on flavour and hands-on brewing. Its approach combines recipes rooted in brewing tradition with international influences and contemporary techniques, producing modern interpretations across a broad range of beer styles.
Runaway's beers are left unfiltered and unpasteurised, with much of the range naturally carbonated by yeast in keg, cask and bottle. Alongside its core beers and returning favourites, the brewery regularly produces seasonal releases and collaborations with other brewers, chefs, food producers and people from the wider beer community.
Today, Runaway operates from Astley Street in Stockport, supplying pubs locally and further afield while serving beer directly from its onsite taproom and beer garden. Ten keg lines and two cask lines showcase the brewery's range, with a bottle shop providing beer to take away, while brewery tours and tastings offer visitors a closer look at how the beer is made.
