Blackjack Brew Co was founded in 2012 in a railway arch on the edge of Manchester's Green Quarter, just a short walk from the city's Northern Quarter and Angel Meadows. From modest beginnings, the brewery has grown into one of Manchester's best-known independent brewers while remaining committed to small-batch production and quality.

The brewery's philosophy centres on brewing approachable, balanced beers that faithfully represent their chosen style. Whether producing crisp lagers, hop-forward pale ales or traditional British cask beers, the focus is always on precision, consistency and drinkability rather than chasing short-lived trends.

Drawing inspiration from Britain's pub heritage, Blackjack recreates the memorable beers that shaped its founders' appreciation of brewing. Classic recipes are refined using modern brewing techniques and carefully selected ingredients, creating beers that feel both familiar and contemporary.

Over the years, Blackjack has expanded beyond the brewery, with its beers becoming widely available across the North of England and throughout the UK. The business also operates hospitality venues including the Smithfield Market Tavern, Station Hop and Jack in the Box bars, giving drinkers direct access to its latest releases.

Visitors can experience the brewery first-hand at the Blackjack Brewtap, held on selected weekends throughout the warmer months. The taproom offers freshly poured beers in the brewery itself, showcasing seasonal releases alongside established favourites in an informal industrial setting.
