Cloudwater Brew Co. is an independent Manchester brewery renowned for producing modern hop-forward beers, rich stouts, crisp lagers and innovative seasonal releases. Founded in 2014, Cloudwater has built an international reputation through a relentless focus on quality, creativity and continuous improvement, with fresh beers released every week.
Brewery story
Cloudwater Brew Co. was founded in Manchester in 2014 and brewed its first beers on 14 February 2015. From the beginning, the brewery set out to produce modern, flavour-driven beers while constantly refining every aspect of the brewing process.
The brewery quickly became known for its hop-forward pale ales and IPAs, while also producing acclaimed stouts, lagers, mixed fermentation beers and seasonal specials. Rather than focusing on a single flagship beer, Cloudwater embraces continual experimentation and regularly releases new recipes throughout the year.
Continuous improvement sits at the heart of Cloudwater's philosophy. The team continually develops its brewing techniques, sensory evaluation and fermentation processes to improve quality, consistency and drinkability across its range.
Alongside brewing, Cloudwater has cultivated a strong community through its taprooms, collaborations and events, supporting independent beer culture both in Manchester and further afield. Fresh releases are made available weekly through its online shop as well as independent bars and bottle shops across the UK.
