A rich and imaginative Oat Pale Ale from Edinburgh's Stewart Brewing, inspired by Cranachan, the traditional Scottish dessert made with raspberries, cream, oats and honey. Created as part of the brewery's experimental Project 7 series, this distinctive beer combines a smooth, creamy oat-based foundation with generous additions of tart raspberries, creating a vibrant fruit character. Blossom Honey from The Scottish Bee Company, lactose and vanilla introduce layers of sweetness and indulgence, complementing the refreshing sharpness of the fruit. An unusual smoky finish evokes the character of an Islay whisky, adding depth and a distinctly Scottish influence to the beer's dessert-inspired profile. At 5.2% ABV, Project 7 Cranachan delivers a creative combination of fruit, sweetness, creamy texture and gentle smoke, celebrating traditional Scottish flavours through contemporary brewing.
