Brewery story
Camerons has brewed in Hartlepool since 1865 and operates from the historic Lion Brewery. Its best-known beer is Strongarm, a ruby red bitter that has become the brewery's flagship.
The brewery returned to family ownership in 2002. Today it produces its own ales and lagers alongside contract brewing and operates a substantial pub estate, including The Head of Steam.
The Lion Brewery is also home to Camerons Brewery Tap & Bottle Shop, serving cask and keg beer from the Lion and Tooth & Claw breweries as well as a wide range of packaged beer.
