Fyne Ales is an independent farm brewery based on the 4,500-acre Achadunan Estate at the head of Loch Fyne in Argyll. Founded in 2001 by Jonny Delap and Tuggy Noble, the brewery combines modern British brewing with its rural estate setting, producing established core beers, seasonal releases and experimental farmhouse beers through its Origins Brewing project. The estate also includes a brewery tap, courtyard, shop and regular brewery tours.

Brewery story
Fyne Ales was founded in 2001 on the Achadunan Estate at the head of Loch Fyne in rural Argyll. Tuggy Noble and Jonny Delap converted a former dairy into a brewery, producing their first beer, Highlander, on St Andrew's Day that year.
The brewery steadily grew in reputation, adding beers including Maverick, Vital Spark and Avalanche. Following Jonny's death in 2009, his son Jamie Delap returned to Scotland and became Managing Director.
In 2010 Fyne Ales launched both FyneFest and Jarl, the hop-forward session beer that became one of its best-known releases. A former grain store was converted into the Brewery Tap and shop two years later.
With the original brewhouse reaching capacity, a larger brewery opened in a converted sheep shed in 2014. The original kit was retained for experimentation and later became home to Origins Brewing, exploring mixed fermentation, wood ageing and locally foraged ingredients.
Today Fyne Ales remains rooted in the 4,500-acre Achadunan Estate, where brewing sits alongside farming and the annual FyneFest. Visitors can explore this connection at the Brewery Tap and Courtyard, shop and brewery tours.

Visitors can enjoy fresh Fyne Ales beers alongside ciders, spirits and soft drinks, with additional seating in the Brewery Courtyard beer garden. The onsite shop also sells bottles, cans, mini-casks, gifts and merchandise to take away.
