Mourne Mountains Brewery

Mourne Mountains Brewery has been brewing in County Down since 2015, taking its identity from the landscape that surrounds it. One of the defining ingredients is the soft water sourced directly from the Mourne Mountains, giving the brewery a strong physical connection to the area reflected in its name.

From its Warrenpoint base, the brewery produces a core range of five beers alongside seasonal and special releases throughout the year. Production spans cans and kegs, with a smaller amount of cask beer also produced, allowing Mourne Mountains to work across both modern packaged formats and more traditional draught beer.

The brewery's relationship with its local community extends beyond production through its onsite Beer Hall at Milltown East Industrial Estate. The taproom serves fresh pours directly from the source, with rotating taps and local events creating a space intended as much for meeting people as simply drinking beer.

That community emphasis is central to the way the Beer Hall presents itself, with the brewery describing it as a place where beer and good company come together. Open on Saturdays, it gives visitors a direct connection to the Warrenpoint brewery and provides a regular public-facing home for Mourne Mountains beer.

Today, Mourne Mountains Brewery combines a strong County Down identity with a varied beer range, local water and a dedicated brewery taproom. Its SIBA Indie Beer status further reflects its place within Northern Ireland's independent brewing community.
