Brewery story
Second Meridian Brew Co was founded in Guernsey by a group of friends brought together through a shared love of modern craft beer. Inspired by the emerging UK craft beer scene around 2015, founder Sam began homebrewing after discovering the hop-forward styles that were difficult to find on the island at the time. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a serious brewing project, with fellow founders Baines, Mash and Will helping turn weekend brew days into a fully-fledged brewery.
Officially established in 2020 and launching its first commercial beers in 2022, Second Meridian Brew Co takes its name from the longitude that runs closest to Guernsey. Today, the brewery focuses on producing high-quality, modern beers while continually seeking inspiration from breweries and beer cultures around the world, bringing new ideas back to its island home.
