Tenby Brewing Co is an independent brewery based in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, producing full-flavoured beers since 2015. The brewery uses local Pembrokeshire water, operates largely on sustainable energy and produces a diverse range of keg and packaged beer for pubs, shops and restaurants across the UK.
Brewery story
Tenby Brewing Co has been brewing in South Pembrokeshire since 2015, building its identity around full-flavoured independent beer made in the coastal town of Tenby. From the beginning, the brewery has emphasised quality ingredients and the naturally pure water of Pembrokeshire, using both to shape a broad range of beer styles aimed at drinkers locally and further afield.
The brewery has grown into a substantial local producer while retaining a strong connection to Pembrokeshire. Its beers are supplied to pubs, shops and restaurants across the UK, with keg and packaged formats forming the core of production. KeyKegs make up a significant part of the brewery's output, while cask beer is no longer produced.
Sustainability has become an important part of the brewery's operation. More than 90% of the energy used at the Tenby site comes from sustainable sources, with the majority generated by an onsite solar array. This allows the brewery to reduce the environmental impact of production while continuing to expand its range and distribution.
Visitors can also drink Tenby beer directly at the brewery during the spring and summer, when the onsite tap opens on Fridays and Saturdays. With capacity for around 150 people, the brewery tap provides a large seasonal space close to production and forms one part of a wider hospitality presence developed by Tenby Brewing Co across Pembrokeshire.
That hospitality side also includes Tap & Tan in Tenby town centre, a craft beer taproom and barbecue restaurant on Upper Frog Street, and Hwb Food Hall in Narberth. Together, the brewery tap and these brewery-owned venues give Tenby Brewing Co several ways to serve beer directly to drinkers while maintaining a strong presence across the county.
Today, Tenby Brewing Co combines modern keg-led production with local identity, sustainable energy and its own hospitality venues. Its emphasis remains on fresh, full-flavoured beer brewed in Tenby and rooted firmly in the landscape and community of Pembrokeshire.
