A complex, barrel-aged Wild Ale from Edinburgh's Barney's Beer, inspired by the traditional Belgian oude geuze and lambic styles. Part of the experimental Post Mortem series, this release begins with a turbid wort made from barley and unmalted wheat before undergoing 14 months of ageing in former Chardonnay wine barrels. The extended maturation develops a refreshing, funky character with distinctive barrel-derived complexity. Bottled in January 2025, this vegan-friendly 5% ABV wild ale is bottle conditioned and designed to develop further with age.
