A distinctive barrel-aged wild ale from Manchester's Cloudwater Brew Co, combining spontaneous fermentation, chuckleberries and single-origin Kenyan coffee roasted by Workshop Coffee. Something Only You Can Be begins with a two-year-aged chuckleberry wild beer base, to which coffee beans are added to create an unconventional expression of a fruited sour. Traditionally associated with darker beer styles, the coffee introduces subtle complexity, with hints of green pepper and smokiness complementing the beer's gentle acidity. At 6.4% ABV, this smooth and delicately sour wild ale showcases the depth and character that can develop through extended ageing, spontaneous fermentation and carefully selected ingredients.
