Baron Brewing is an independent microbrewery based on a farm in Great Hormead, Hertfordshire, producing small-batch modern craft beer with a focus on hop-forward ales, crisp lagers and limited seasonal releases. Brewing in small volumes allows the range to evolve constantly, with fresh recipes and experimental styles appearing throughout the year.
Brewery story
Baron Brewing was founded by Jack Baron, who conceived the brewery during the 2020 lockdown before spending the following year designing, building and installing the brewery on a farm in Great Hormead, East Hertfordshire. After months of preparation, the brewery began trading towards the end of 2021.
Operating as a one-person brewery, Jack produces an ever-changing range of beers inspired by creativity and a passion for the brewing process. While Fuzz, the brewery's flagship hazy pale ale, is brewed regularly, almost every other release is either a brand-new recipe or an occasional return, ensuring a constant flow of fresh styles and flavours.
Today Baron Brewing continues to focus on modern, hop-forward beers alongside crisp lagers and the occasional dark beer, supplying pubs, bars and bottle shops across Hertfordshire and beyond. The brewery also opens its farm taproom on selected weekends throughout the summer and festive season, giving visitors the chance to enjoy its latest small-batch releases where they're brewed.
