Crafty Brewing is an independent brewery established in 2014 at Thatched House Farm near Dunsfold in Surrey. Beginning with a single 100-litre brewing vessel, it has grown into a purpose-built 4,000-square-foot brewery producing traditional and contemporary beers for pubs, restaurants and retailers across southern England. Its beers are also available directly from the brewery store.
Brewery story
Crafty Brewing was established in 2014 at Thatched House Farm near Dunsfold in Surrey. It began on a small scale with a single 100-litre brewing vessel, producing small-batch beers for village fetes and a handful of local pubs.
The brewery grew organically from those beginnings and now operates from a purpose-built 4,000-square-foot brewhouse. Its modern brewing equipment and climate-controlled cellar give the brewery capacity to produce up to 100,000 litres of beer a month.
Crafty produces a range of handcrafted beers that can be found in pubs, hotels, restaurants and retailers across Surrey, East and West Sussex, Berkshire, Hampshire and London.
Sustainability forms an important part of the brewery's approach. Crafty recycles water, heat and yeast where possible and makes use of biodegradable and recyclable packaging. Spent brewing grain is used to feed Mangalitsa and Old Spot pigs living in woodland on the farm.
Visitors can buy beer directly from the brewery store during weekday opening hours, while Crafty also takes its beers to local events, fetes and markets throughout the surrounding area.
