Small-batch craft brewery founded in 2022, producing modern, hop-forward beers in keg, cask and can. Originally brewing in Crich, the brewery moved to Belper where its town-centre microbrewery and taproom bring brewing, packaging and fresh beer together under one roof.
Brewery story
Crich Brew Co began brewing in 2022, starting out in the Derbyshire village of Crich with a focus on small-batch, modern and hop-forward craft beer. Growing demand quickly pushed the young brewery to expand, doubling its brewing capacity several times during its early years.
That growth eventually brought Crich Brew Co to nearby Belper, where it established a town-centre microbrewery and taproom. Beer is designed, brewed and packaged onsite, giving the team the freedom to continually rotate its brewing schedule, experiment with new recipes and serve beer only metres from where it was made.
Despite its growth, the brewery retains a deliberately local approach. Ingredients and packaging are sourced as close to home as practical, used brewing water is reused for cleaning and spent grain goes to a local smallholding for livestock feed. Most beer is also sold locally through the taproom, pubs, bottle shops and occasional markets.
