Emperor's Brewery

Emperor's Brewery is the creation of Damian, who spent more than 27 years homebrewing before turning professional in 2017. By that point he had already been brewing for almost three decades, developing the experience and confidence to turn a long-standing passion into a small commercial brewery.

The brewery is deliberately focused on the dark side of beer. Emperor's produces only Imperial Stouts and Porters, with every beer dark, powerful and above 10% ABV. Barrel ageing also plays a major role in the range, adding further depth and complexity to beers that are designed to be rich, intense and enjoyed slowly.

Emperor's remains a very small operation. Damian handles the brewing as well as travelling to beer festivals and collaborating with other breweries, while his wife Helen manages the online store, prepares orders and looks after fulfilment.

The brewery's identity is heavily influenced by science fiction and a playful 'Galactic Empire' theme, but behind the humour is a tightly defined brewing philosophy: uncompromisingly strong Imperial Stouts and Porters, often barrel-aged and produced in small quantities for drinkers who enjoy bold, decadent dark beer.
