Gower Brewery is an award-winning independent brewery founded in 2011, crafting ales and lagers inspired by the coastline and landscapes of the Gower Peninsula. Brewing from its purpose-built brewery near Swansea, it has become one of Wales' most decorated breweries, producing a wide range of traditional and modern beers.
Brewery story
Gower Brewery was founded in 2011 by Chris Keasey after years of discussing the idea while running two pubs on the Gower Peninsula. The brewery's first batch, Brew One, was brewed on the memorable date of 11 November 2011, with every beer inspired by the dramatic coastline, beaches and countryside of Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Rapid growth followed as beers including Brew One, Gower Gold, Gower Power and Lighthouse Lager gained recognition across Wales. In 2014 the brewery relocated to a larger, purpose-built site at Crofty Industrial Estate, increasing production capacity with modern brewing equipment while continuing to collect awards from CAMRA, SIBA, the Countryside Alliance and Swansea Bay Tourism.
Today Gower Brewery produces a diverse range of award-winning ales, lagers and seasonal beers, supplying pubs, supermarkets and retailers throughout the UK and exporting internationally. Alongside brewing, the company has expanded into hospitality, mobile bars and events, while remaining proudly independent and committed to showcasing the flavours and character of the Gower Peninsula in every beer.
