Bluntrock Brewery

Founded in 2021 by George and Hugo, Bluntrock Brewery was born from a shared passion for modern craft beer and a desire to bring fresh, hop-forward styles to North Cornwall. Inspired by the rise of American-style pale ales and IPAs, the pair set out to make these exciting beers more accessible to their local community, creating a brewery built on quality, creativity and a love of great beer.

Bluntrock's journey began in a collection of recycled yellow shipping containers, transformed into a compact brewery, taproom and beer garden in Rock. What started as a small-scale operation quickly attracted a loyal following, with demand for the brewery's fresh, diverse beers soon outgrowing the original site.

To support its growing community, Bluntrock opened a new purpose-built brewery in 2024, just a short distance from its original home. Designed with the future in mind, the new facility combines modern brewing technology with ambitious sustainability goals, incorporating solar power, carbon dioxide recovery and an on-site borehole while working towards net-zero operations and B Corp certification.

Today, Bluntrock produces a wide range of contemporary beers, from crisp lagers and traditional cask ales to juicy pale ales, hop-forward IPAs and regularly changing seasonal specials. Its beers can be enjoyed at the original Container Taproom in Rock, The Pagan Arms in Newquay and venues across Cornwall and beyond, continuing the brewery's mission of sharing fresh, flavourful beer with as many people as possible.
