Nestled beneath the viaduct at Ponsanooth in Cornwall, Dynamite Valley Brewery takes its name and inspiration from one of the county's most remarkable industrial landscapes. The brewery stands close to the former Kennall Vale Gunpowder Works, where, during the 19th century, thousands of barrels of gunpowder were produced each year before the industry gradually declined with the arrival of dynamite.

The area's colourful history—including links to Alfred Nobel, whose promotion of his revolutionary invention helped shape the future of explosives—provides the inspiration behind the brewery's identity. Today, the woodland that reclaimed the old gunpowder works serves as a reminder of Cornwall's industrial heritage, while Dynamite Valley Brewery continues to celebrate the region through its beers.

Founded more than a century after the gunpowder works closed, the brewery has built a reputation for creating distinctive Cornish beers that blend traditional brewing techniques with modern creativity.
