Brewery story

About Floc Brewing

Floc Brewing was founded in Margate, where the brewery began life on a modest one-barrel brewing system. Built around a passion for modern beer and a commitment to quality ingredients, the brewery quickly developed a following for its fresh, unfiltered and vegan-friendly beers that balanced bold hop character with exceptional drinkability.

As demand grew, Floc relocated to a larger brewery in Canterbury, providing the space to expand production while remaining firmly rooted in Kent's thriving independent beer scene. The move also allowed the brewery to open a welcoming taproom, where visitors can enjoy brewery-fresh beer every weekend in a relaxed community-focused setting.

Community sits at the heart of Floc's identity. The brewery actively collaborates with leading breweries from the UK and abroad, supports local events and believes that great beer is best enjoyed together. This collaborative approach has helped establish Floc as one of the country's most exciting modern craft breweries while continually pushing its brewing forward.

Floc's brewing philosophy centres on creating flavourful beers that remain highly drinkable. Every recipe is designed to showcase carefully selected ingredients, producing everything from crisp pilsners and hazy pale ales to intensely hopped IPAs, Double IPAs and limited-edition collaboration releases without compromising balance or enjoyment.

Today Floc continues to focus on sustainable growth, building a brewery that is enjoyable to work for while producing world-class beer for pubs, bottle shops and drinkers across the UK. Every release reflects the brewery's belief that quality, community and craftsmanship should come together in every pint.
