The Isle of Harris Brewery Taproom
Opened in March 2024 at Leverburgh Pier, the Isle of Harris Brewery Taproom overlooks the brewhouse, serving twelve beers on tap alongside Hebridean food, local spirits and regular live music.

A family-run independent brewery on the Isle of Harris, crafting modern Scottish beers inspired by island life, local community and the rugged landscapes of the Outer Hebrides.
Brewery story
The Isle of Harris Brewery began with a family from Oxfordshire who discovered craft beer through friends and spent over a decade organising local beer festivals before pursuing their dream of moving to the Isle of Harris in 2014.
After settling on a croft in Borrisdale overlooking the Sound of Harris, the family built a small brewshed while renovating their home, overcoming years of planning and red tape before producing their first beers.
Rooted in the island community, the brewery has continued to grow from its tiny beginnings, later expanding to Leverburgh with a brewery, taproom, restaurant and deli while remaining committed to showcasing Harris through approachable, flavourful beers.
