Isle of Skye Brewing Co

The Isle of Skye Brewery was founded in 1995 after a group of local schoolteachers, gathered over pints in a Skye pub, decided the island deserved a brewery of its own. What began as a light-hearted conversation quickly became reality, leading to the launch of Red Cuillin, the brewery's first beer and a recipe that remains a favourite to this day.

From those humble beginnings, the brewery has grown into one of Scotland's most respected independent producers. Its beers have earned more than 60 awards, including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland, helping put Skye on the map as a destination for exceptional craft beer while remaining true to its local roots and independent spirit.

Nestled on the shores of Uig, surrounded by dramatic cliffs, sea views and ever-changing skies, the brewery draws inspiration from the rugged beauty of the island itself. Every beer reflects the character of Skye—bold, distinctive and memorable—crafted in a place where great stories and great beer naturally come together.
