Brewery story
Founded in 2019, Mine Brewing Company began as a passion project between James and Elise Worrall and Shane and Janet Andrews, developing and refining recipes before officially launching in 2020. Brewing first took place in a humble 20-foot shipping container, which served as the brewery's home until expanding into a larger premises in late 2024.
Based in the historic mining district of Consols near St Ives, the brewery draws inspiration from Cornwall's rich industrial heritage. The local mining landscape influences both the brewery's identity and many of its beer names, creating a strong connection between the beers and the history of the surrounding area.
Mine Brewing Company specialises in producing un-fined and unfiltered beers across a wide range of styles, combining the character of traditional real ales with the creativity and flavour-forward approach of modern craft brewing. As the brewery has grown, brewer Andre Hutchinson has joined the team, bringing extensive homebrewing experience and helping to refine an ever-evolving lineup of beers.
Quality remains at the heart of everything Mine Brewing Company produces. Guided by the simple philosophy of never selling a beer they wouldn't happily drink themselves, the brewery continues to create memorable beers with care, passion and a deep appreciation for both Cornwall's brewing traditions and its mining heritage.
