Brewery story

About Pretty Decent Beer Co

On a quiet industrial estate in East London, a tiny brewery with a big personality began making waves. Pretty Decent Beer Co started life in 2017 as London's smallest commercial brewery, armed with little more than a passion for great beer and a healthy disregard for taking themselves too seriously. While their cans featured eccentric names and eye-catching artwork, the team remained focused on what mattered most: brewing fresh, balanced beers that people genuinely wanted to drink. From juicy pale ales bursting with tropical flavours to crisp lagers perfect for any occasion, every release was crafted to be both approachable and memorable.

As the brewery grew, so did its reputation for creativity. Creative Director Nanna transformed unusual beer names into vibrant pieces of art inspired by the strange and wonderful moments of everyday London life. Her labels featured everything from glam rock legends to squabbling animals, giving each can its own distinct character. Customers soon found themselves drawn not only to the beer inside but also to the stories and personalities wrapped around every release. The playful branding stood out on crowded shelves, yet it was always supported by the quality of the liquid beneath the lid.

What truly made Pretty Decent Beer Co different, however, was its commitment to people. Every beer sold helped support progressive community causes, ensuring that enjoyment could have a positive impact beyond the pint glass. The brewery embraced its quirks, openly admitting that some ideas might be slightly ill-thought-out but always well-intentioned. This honesty resonated with drinkers, creating a loyal community that valued authenticity over polish. In a world of carefully managed corporate brands, Pretty Decent remained exactly what its name suggested: a genuinely decent brewery making great beer for good people.
