3 Locks Brewing Co

3 Locks Brewing Co was founded in 2022 by Marinos Alexandrou, bringing independent craft brewing to the heart of Camden Market. Having previously operated a popular bar in Camden and co-owned a brewery on the Greek island of Paros, Alexandrou wanted to create a brewery that reflected the area's distinctive character. The business takes its name from the three locks on Regent's Canal visible from its taproom, celebrating Camden's industrial heritage and longstanding connection with the waterways of north London.

The brewery occupies railway arches beneath the London Overground at Hawley Wharf, overlooking the canal and the bustling Camden Market. Brewing takes place onsite, with a focus on modern, approachable craft beer styles produced using carefully selected hops and malts. Combining traditional brewing techniques with contemporary methods, 3 Locks creates beers intended to appeal to both experienced craft beer enthusiasts and visitors discovering independent beer for the first time. Its range is available primarily in keg and cans rather than traditional cask ale.

At the centre of the business is the 3 Locks Taproom, a spacious canalside venue open seven days a week. With ten draft taps pouring fresh beer brewed just metres away, the bar offers a direct connection between the brewing process and the people enjoying its results. Wines and spirits are also available, while brewery tours and guided tastings give visitors an opportunity to explore how the beers are made. The dog-friendly taproom has become a welcoming destination for locals, market visitors and tourists exploring Camden.
