Bullfinch Brewery

Bullfinch Brewery was founded by Ryan McLean, a former travelling sound engineer whose passion for great beer grew through years of exploring brewing cultures around the world. What began as homebrewing in a kitchen evolved into a professional brewing venture, with Ryan bringing together a love of traditional brewing techniques and a desire to push creative boundaries.

Since brewing professionally from 2014, Bullfinch Brewery has developed a reputation for producing modern craft beers that blend innovation with brewing heritage. Operating from a railway arch in South East London, the brewery uses a historic five-barrel brewhouse originally built by Charles Wells, creating a unique environment where traditional equipment meets contemporary brewing ideas.

At the heart of Bullfinch is a hands-on approach to brewing. The small team is involved in every aspect of the process, from production to serving customers in the taproom, reflecting the brewery's commitment to quality, authenticity, and community. Today, Bullfinch continues to produce progressive, characterful beers that showcase both creativity and craftsmanship, firmly rooted in South London's independent brewing scene.
