Independent Nottinghamshire brewery founded by Anthony Hughes in 2012. Named after the green cloth associated with Robin Hood, Lincoln Green produces award-winning ales with quality and consistency at their heart, while its pubs are designed as welcoming neighbourhood spaces for their local communities.
Brewery story
Lincoln Green Brewing Co was founded by Anthony Hughes in Nottinghamshire in 2012, beginning with a 10-barrel brewery in Hucknall. Its name comes from Lincoln green, the dyed woollen cloth traditionally associated with Robin Hood, giving the brewery a strong connection to one of Nottinghamshire's most famous legends.
That inspiration runs throughout the brewery, with its beers carrying names that nod to Robin Hood and the stories surrounding him. The connection is more than branding: Lincoln Green draws on the legend's emphasis on ordinary people, putting community, quality and consistency at the centre of the business.
Alongside its brewery, Lincoln Green has developed a collection of pubs built around the idea of the traditional neighbourhood local. Inspired by George Orwell's vision of the ideal pub in 'The Moon Under Water', each venue is intended to have its own identity while remaining a place where regulars, newcomers and their communities can meet over well-kept beer.
